In this 90-minute class, we’ll workshop performance strategies that help prepare for performance. Part discussion and part practical physical exploration, we’ll explore various preparation forms, from breathwork and visualization, to meditation, to building a warm-up that steadies the nervous system and readies the body and mind for performance, allowing performers to find a flow state in performance to be embodied and present. Participants will be invited to build their toolkit for performance readiness through practical steps and explore what tools help them feel prepared, present, and responsive.
Open to all levels of dance and theater performers, or any performer who is open to moving their body as part of performance prep!
