FAQs

What should I wear for dance classes? Do I have to wear a leotard to take ballet?

Wear whatever you can move freely and feel good in! If you are inspired to wear a leotard and tights, by all means do! But it is not required for ballet class. No matter which dance technique you are taking a class in, we recommend you wear clothes that give you a good range of motion and don’t overheat your body.

For modern classes, we do recommend clothes that cover your arms and legs, since we are sometimes working on the floor. Also, in colder months our space can feel a bit cool at first, so we recommend wearing layers that you can optionally remove as you warm up.

What shoes should I wear for ballet?

Socks or ballet slippers will do just fine!

Do you rent out your studio?

We sure do! We have different rates depending on the type of event. Please refer to our rentals page to get more details and to submit a rental request.

Do you offer classes for people under 18?

This is a studio for adults. Unfortunately we only offer classes for people over the age of 18. We will accept students as young as 16 but we need proof of parental consent for anyone under 18.

What are class packages? How do I use them?

In addition to our normal drop-in classes ($18), we now have 5-class packs ($80, $16/class) and 10-class packs ($150, $15/class).

You can now purchase everything we offer at our online store:

  1. Drop-In Classes

  2. Class Packages

  3. Gift Certificates

After you purchase a class package, you will receive a code. You can then use that code when registering for classes to receive your package discount.

Class packages offer a built-in discount and must be used sooner than gift certificates (gift certificates do not expire for a full calendar year; class packages must be used within a 30-day or 45-day window).

Should I create an account on Acuity?

You don’t have to! But if you do, Acuity we’ll save your payment information and you’ll only need to fill out our waiver and agree to our policies one time. Creating an account makes the payment and registration process much faster.

Where can I park?
