Madeline Spivey
Madeline Spivey is trained in ballet, modern, contemporary, tap, and jazz. In 2020, she graduated from Messiah College where she earned a BA in English and Sociology/Anthropology, along with a minor in music, and performed regularly with the department of dance. Before that, she trained and performed with Pennsylvania Regional Ballet, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Regional Dance America, and the International Ballet Competition Summer School where she won the award for Outstanding Modern Dancer in 2014. More recently, Madeline has taught with Proclaim Performing Arts in central Pennsylvania and the Harrisonburg Parks & Recreation Dance program. She is currently earning an MA in English at James Madison University and is passionate about interdisciplinary study, exploring representations of the body and bodily knowledge in literature, and is always looking to make new connections between critical theory, movement, and more
